There’s not much more to say than that, folks. When a fire broke out in an Australian suburb, it was at first unclear was the cause was–until the two teenage boys who survived the blaze revealed that their cat had peed on a laptop moments before the smoke alarms started going off.
I think it’s entirely possible that the cat sniffed out a fire somewhere else in the house and peed out of panic, or that the cat merely peed to alert its owners of a such fire–but I admit it’s not entirely probable. So cat owners like the owner of the cat in the below photo (by jpmorse on flickr) should consider themselves warned! Your cat may only look like he’s just checking his email . . .
